YELLOW  MOON

MACHINED FROM A SINGLE BILLET OF STAINLESS STEEL  every material has a different set of resonance characteristics, and our Yellow Moon is an excellent choice for the player who prefers the bright and focused sound that only stainless steel can provide

STRAIGHT CLIFF BAFFLE, TAPERED CHAMBER, AND A BACKBORE  The baffle on the Yellow Moon is straight and extends approximately halfway up the beak, ending in a vertical cliff. The tone chamber is tapered in all directions, and ends in a backbore ring which acts as a venturi to increase the velocity of the airstream.

MEDIUM FACING LENGTH AND A SQUARE WINDOW  give the Yellow Moon lightning quick response and accentuate the compact, focused sound.

SINGLE SCREW LIGATURE WITH THIN BANDS  prevents the Yellow Moon from being “reed fussy” and allows for exceptionally free vibration of the reed.

MODERATE DUCKBILL BEAK  the slope of the beak correlates to the length of the facing curve, and enables a natural embouchure position that is both comfortable and stable
